Assignment 4 of 6

CV and LinkedIn

A visual CV and a LinkedIn article about the course. Then: what happened after I posted it.

PlannedNov to Dec 2026

LinkedIn training in week 2.1, CV training in week 2.2. The article follows the course from assignment 3.

The brief

Work on professional visibility in two ways: design or update a visual CV, and publish a substantive LinkedIn article about the in-depth course. Then reflect on the reactions, my writing style, and how this contributes to my positioning.

  • Visual CV, in Canva or a similar tool
  • Substantive LinkedIn article about the course
  • Reflection on reactions, writing style and positioning

My approach

  1. 1

A CV that looks like my sites

I already have a CV, but it is a document, not a design. The new one is one page, visual, and uses the same look as broersmarketing.com and this site.

  2. 2

    One insight, not a summary

The article is not a recap of the course. One insight, explained so a marketing manager without technical background gets it, with an example from my own work.

  3. 3

    Write the way I talk

The same rules I use on my site: short sentences, no hype words, honest about limits. If I wouldn't say it out loud, it doesn't go in.

  4. 4

    Measure the reaction

Views, comments, messages, and who they came from. Two weeks after posting I write down what actually happened, not what I hoped.

Evidence

My current CV as PDF, three pages.

  4. LinkedIn article (to add)

    Link to the published article.

    Expected after the course
  5. Reactions and statistics (to add)

Screenshots of views, comments and messages, two weeks after posting.

Reflection

Reflection tool: What? So what? Now what?

Written two weeks after the article is published.

Three questions. Enough for a piece of writing and its reactions.

  1. 1What? Who reacted, and was that who I wrote it for? Which sentences did people quote back?
  2. 2So what? What does that say about my writing style and about how I'm seen?
  3. 3Now what? What do I write next, and what do I change on my LinkedIn profile?
